This page was last updated Oct 18, 2026.

About this port

LANCommander's native Windows and Linux port of the original 1999 PlayStation Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, derived from LANCommander/THPS. Adds SDL2 input, OpenGL rendering, widescreen, mod support and x86/x64 packages. Extracts assets from the player's own USA PlayStation disc or Dreamcast disc.

Platform support & installation

PC

Native decompilation-based C++ port

Requirements

64-bit Windows 10/11; OpenGL 3.3. Own USA PlayStation SLUS_008.60 raw MODE2/2352 BIN, named thps1.bin next to executable; alternatively own Dreamcast GDI plus tracks. First run extracts assets to Data (about 630 MB PS1 / 950 MB Dreamcast).

Sources

Maintainer reports all nine career levels; not independently tested. Mall lighting and Dreamcast shadows are approximations. Tagged setup guides retain some older 32-bit-only and PS1-reverb wording despite newer x64 assets and release changes; no general fidelity or device guarantee.
