About this recompilation

saulob's unofficial native recompilation of the 2011 Xbox 360 Xbox Live Arcade game, built with ReXGlue and a TRG launcher. Public game-specific source provides original-data installation, display options and offline features. Requires the owner's exact supported game package; game and DLC data are not included. Windows and experimental native Linux packages are documented.

Platform support & installation

PC

Native static recompilation using ReXGlue; Direct3D 12

Requirements

Windows 10/11 64-bit, DirectX 12 GPU and Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable x64. Own Hard Corps: Uprising Xbox 360 XBLA LIVE package, Title ID 58410A18, content type 000D0000, game/default.xex version 0.0.0.3; optional DLC requires separately owned packages. Game data is not supplied.

Sources

No independent end-to-end playthrough verified. Online multiplayer and Xbox Live are unsupported; leaderboards are local. Non-16:9 menus/HUD/cutscenes may be composed incorrectly. High-DPI launcher labels can clip; 4x MSAA costs more GPU time. v0.6.1 has no Windows/gameplay change from v0.6.0. Unsigned release; no security or safety certification.

Linux

Native static recompilation using patched ReXGlue 0.10.0 and Vulkan, not Proton/Wine

Requirements

x86_64 Linux, glibc 2.31+, Vulkan driver, X11/Wayland; zenity or kdialog for package selection. A writable AppImage folder and owned game data are required. Own Hard Corps: Uprising Xbox 360 XBLA LIVE package, Title ID 58410A18, content type 000D0000, game/default.xex version 0.0.0.3; optional DLC requires separately owned packages. Game data is not supplied.

Sources

Maintainer labels Linux experimental; no broad real-hardware or Steam Deck validation. v0.6.1 FUSE fallback was tested only in a restricted local environment, not confirmed on SteamOS. Vulkan reduced-resolution gameplay and prior brightness/exit fixes lack full hardware confirmation. Rendering, audio, controllers and performance may fail; Wayland scaling can enlarge windows. Online multiplayer unavailable; non-16:9 presentation can be imperfect.
