About this recompilation

Static recompilation and partial matching decompilation of n-Space's cancelled Xbox 360 Halo Mega Bloks prototype, Project Haggar. Includes reconstructed game-specific C++, UnrealScript and a ReXGlue PC runtime. Requires separately supplied original prototype files; no game data is included.

Platform support & installation

PC

Build required

Native static recompilation (ReXGlue; Xenia GPU/kernel runtime without JIT)

Requirements

Supply your own prototype XEX, PDB and game folder. Python 3.10+, Visual Studio 2022 C++ Build Tools, LLVM clang 18+ (19.1.7 tested), CMake/Ninja and ReXGlue submodule; about 15 GB free.

Sources

Maintainer reports boot to first level at 11-16 fps on Radeon 860M, not independently tested. Movement needs Ghost/Walk toggling; Warthog spawning and automatic structure building crash; the winch objective needs a dev-menu workaround. No complete-playthrough validation or downloadable release. Matching C++ is partial and optional hooks were not exercised in the documented baseline.

Requirements

Supply your own prototype XEX, PDB and game folder. Python 3.10+, clang 19+, CMake 3.25+, Ninja, pkg-config, ReXGlue submodule, X11/Wayland/Vulkan development libraries and a supported audio backend; about 15 GB free.

Maintainer built under WSL2 Ubuntu 24.04 and reached UE3 startup on software Vulkan, then asserted before any frame. Real-GPU Linux and Steam Deck are untested. CI builds a stand-in host that runs no game. No downloadable release or validated Linux gameplay.
